Abstract:
The measurement and optimization of the economic-financial performance has always been a priority on the agenda of both managers and researchers. At the level of the Romanian business environment the importance of measuring, knowing and managing properly the economic-financial performance is much higher, following two decades of transition, instability and transformations. The fulminating expansion of technique and IT technology, the real siege of the Internet and its facilities for the economic and social life, the higher and higher pressure of competition due to the “openness” of the Romanian economy towards the market of the European Union and not only, they all put difficult barriers to overcome, to domestic enterprises.\r\nGiven these considerations the authors have developed a multiple regression model that allows analysis of economic and financial performance in the context of ten key elements of performance. This article presents the stages of creating, testing and validation of a multiple regression equation of economic and financial performance for a statistical population of 123 Romanian industrial companies.\r\n\r\n
